I swallowed a bug.

I just would like to start off and say that I love ubuntu.
Ok, now that that's out of the way--moving on.

Theres nothing good airing this time of season so I watched all of the Office...again. *applause*

This is the second day past the day we were supposed to get our hot water back. It's been over four weeks so far. arg! On the brighter side I finally booked my Italian excursion. Since Joey and I will be in Germany for about 8 days after we leave Russia, we decided to go somewhere else while we have the chance. So we'll be visiting rome from the 6th till the 9th. Unfortunately the flights(the cheap ones) wouldn't line up so that we could connect directly with our flight out of Dusseldorf on the 10th, so we'll be sleeping in the airport on the night of the 9th. woot. That whole weekend is going to really suck.

Also, if anyone wants random stuff of mine, please let me know. I need to lighten my luggage by next week.

I had more to say--a lot more actually since this is my first post in nearly a week. but I forgot it all. sorry. you didnt care anyway, so boo.

P.S. I need a place to stay in Moscow this saturday night, just in case someone is feeling brave...please call/sms(9038016876).

life is long. but the days are short

Currently Listening to: Jack's Mannequin
Last Movie Watched: The Astronaut's Wife
Currently Reading: The Worl'ds Last Night, and other Essay's by C.S. Lewis

My ticket home was bought a while ago, set for departure on August the 10th. But it was flying out of Germany and not Russia(since i planned to spend a week there before going home). But yesterday, I finally booked my ticket flying out of Russia. I should have done it a long time ago to save money. But, everyday that I remembered to do it, I always found a reason to avoid it. I knew that I would at least be leaving no later than the 10th. Yet I couldn't bring myself to actually buy that ticket that says, 'departure: Moscow, arrival: not russia'. At the end of july, I'll have been here 9 and 1/2 months. It feels so wierd leaving. I really don't know what I'm going to do when I get back to alabama. Sure, I have plans. But I just can't imagine not being able to see my friends here, not seeing my favorite old babushka opening the dorm for me when i get in late, not walking down the streets and hearing such a beautiful language, not going for walks along the volga at dusk, not going to church on sunday mornings and getting to have bible study with everyone that evening. And whats even worse, I don't when I can come back. I have to go to school, at least for a semester and possiblily longer. the soonest I could return wouldn't be till next summer, and only for a matter of weeks. Plus, I've had trouble with the ФСБ(formally the KGB), so I don't know if i'll even be granted a visa next time. This is not a good week.
It all ends August 2nd, 2007 at 12:45pm.

On a lighter note: Joey and I will be in Germany from the 2nd till the 10th, doing the tourist thing. We'll be staying where I used to work, at the Globe Europe Missions Center. I am looking forward to seeing my old friends there and getting a chance to hangout in western europe again for a little while. We're planning on taking a few days out of that and maybe go to rome or london/paris, or maybe athens. if anyone has some recommendation for that, let me know.

Well, I have to go take an exam now. So byebye.

P.S. Lena Svistunova and I had a deal that if I watched A Walk to Remember and passed a quiz, that she would have to do the same for Stargate:The Movie. Lena, it's your turn!

goodbye old friend...

Well, it looks like ill be stabbing windows in the back tonight. I was going to do it later next week. But after a long battle this week backing up files, i decided that it did not even deserve another 48 hours. so join me in celebrating the final breaths of xp pro...and the birth of my new Ubuntu machine!!!! horay!

I chose Ubuntu after an instense time of research and advice. The final decision was made after I read the remarks left by my nerd buddy, Tomas, so thanks to him!

Well, im heading to moscow today and will meet up with the ROSA kids tomorrow to go camping..er boating, or something. i really dont know whats going to happen. so we'll see.
